Fixtures for new season

The fixture list has thrown up a fascinating start to the season for the Colls First Team, with the first three league games being played at home, and a fantastic local derby in the FA Cup…

The season kicks of on 7th August - the first game of the season sees a 3:00pm kick off when Eccleshill United travel to the Beechnut Lane ground.

No sooner have Ponte Colls got their league campaign up and running, and their minds will turn to the Cups. On Tuesday 10th August at 7:45pm, Pontefract welcome Northern Counties East Premier League Champions Bridlington Town in the first round of the President’s Cup, before starting their FA Cup campaign - and what a fixture to start the Wembley trail! On 14th August, the Colls welcome Selby Town to Beechnut Lane, for what should be a terrific cup tie between two Northern Counties East teams and near neighbours.

Following the two cup matches that will surely test the trophy-winning credentials of Simon Houghton’s team, Pontefract re-commence their league campaign with another cracker – the local derby against Hemsworth, which will be another 7:45pm kick-off on 17th August. The busy campaign opening continues on Saturday 21st August, with another home match, this time against Teversal.
