Colls Prepare for Race Night

Pontefract Collieries are holding a race games night, which will be held in the clubhouse on the evening of Saturday 12th February, 2011.

The event will include eight horse races, with a tote on each race. Attendees can pick a horse from the runners in the programme, a horse name they like or their favourite number – whichever one they think will win the race.  If they are lucky, they can collect their winning prize money!! Horses can also be sponsored for certain races.

The event is being run by the First Team squad, with injured midfielder Josh Wright organising the event. Josh explained: “The lads were keen to put an event on for the club, and many of us have been involved in race nights before. They’re always great fun.” It will also be a good chance for fans and club members to enjoy a social event with the first team lads.

Entry will be free of charge, with a free buffet for all. Attendance will be limited to 60 people, so anybody interested in attending – or wanting to find out more – should contact Josh on 07540 745216 or via josh@pontecolls.co.uk
