Player profile: Gareth Roberts
Gareth Roberts joined the club early in the 2011-12 Season, having previously shone at local league football. Having earned his starting place due to some impressive performances in training and reserves games, Gareth has taken his opportunity with both hands.
Strong in the air, firm in the tackle and confident in possession, Gareth has all the attributes required to succeed and flourish in semi-professional football, and has made a confident start to his Colls career alongside Tom Robinson in the heart of the defence.
With Nemanja Vidic named as his favourite player, it is easy to see why, as Gareth shares several characteristics with the tough-tackling Serb.
