Perfect Ponte U7s halt Howden

Ponte Colls U7s turned in another fantastic performance to beat league side Howden in all 3 games without conceding a single goal on Saturday.

In the first match The Colliers ran out 5-0 winners thanks to goals from Max Hazelgrave, Kieran Noon, Callum Davis and a brace from Ethan Pritchard.

Keeper Eli Saul coped with everything Howden could throw at him while Josh Lindley provided some beautiful passes that his teammates benefited from.

In the second match Ponte rotated the whole team but still ran out winners by the same scoreline.  Matthew Doyle scored a first half hat trick with second half goals coming from Sam Limbert and Zak Taylor.  Ellis Skelcher and the ever improving MOM Jack Smith got stuck in and were unlucky not to score while Alex Washington and Billy Shaw eliminated all Howden’s threats before they got near the goal.

In the final match Colls came out 2-0 winners thanks to goals from Max Hazelgrave and Billy Shaw.

These Pontefract youngsters are getting a reputation for quality passing and fine teamwork – long may it continue.
